Leading out into the garden, the kitchen is, as should be the case in any true country cottage, a great focal point for the house, featuring the best of the old and new worlds.

An Aga (there's also a conventional cooker), a large dresser, oak table and chairs and original pamment tiles tick all the country cottage boxes but there's also all the more modern amenities you would expect - a large fridge freezer (plus an extra fridge), a dishwasher, a microwave, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a breadmaker, a toaster etc can all be found in either the kitchen or adjoining larder.

The lounge is designed to be the more peaceful of the two living rooms. With two huge sofas facing each other the room is designed for conversation rather than television watching (there is of course an LCD screen TV subtly positioned in the corner if you want it). There are plenty of books on the local area to read in comfort in front of the open fire (logs also provided).

The second living room, with its widescreen TV, Playstation 2 (with games and also plays DVD's), video recorder, stereo and board games, is ideal for the younger hearted. There are two armchairs and a sofa bed that will comfortably sleep two children or one adult.

The dining room also features original pamment tiles (traditionally Norfolk) and has a wood-burning stove and a solid oak table and chairs to seat six for more formal dining. There is a second 'back door' directly out into the garden.

Containing a variety of plants and herbs (help yourself), completely private and furnished with more than adequate seating (ranging from upright dining chairs to wood loungers), the enclosed courtyard garden is perfect for al fresco dining (there’s a barbecue too) and relaxation and is suitable for small children.

Upstairs
Each of St Luke's House's three bedrooms has something to shout about.

The cream bedroom, with its four-poster king-sized bed, original fireplace and views of miles of open north Norfolk countryside is finished off with a suitably special master bathroom with roll-top bath.

The blue bedroom enjoys similarly spectacular views and features solid oak bedroom furniture (including king-sized bed), an original fireplace and en-suite shower facilities.

The stripy bedroom has two single wrought iron beds, a complete en-suite shower room and it's own private staircase.

House Rules
We have gone to a lot of effort to ensure the house is special. All furniture is of a high standard and every reasonable modern amenity has been provided. We want to keep it this way so insist that the following rules are adhered to (sorry if this sounds formal).

There is no smoking in any room of the house.

There are no pets allowed in the house.

If you break anything, you pay for it.

Linen and towels are provided. Do not take the house towels out of the house - beach towels are provided for this.

Be considerate about the state of the house. Example - there is a boot scraper and huge doormat, please at least wipe your feet before you traipse through the lounge.
